ROADSIDE CLEANUP DAY
SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026 (Raindate: April 19)
Safety guidelines and free plastic bags, gloves, safety vests, and refreshments will be available starting 9 a.m. at ROOSTERS ROUTE 82 HOME & HARDWARE CENTER.
Please bring filled bags to the Stanford Transfer Station. They’ll take the bags for FREE. (181 Bangall Amenia Rd, Saturday hours: 7am – 3pm.)
Bring any tools you may want to use to collect trash. Wear bright colored clothing or pick up a free safety vest at the CAC booth at Roosters.

What Is It?

The travel ban for all non-essential travel in Dutchess County will end at 12pm today as part of the State of Emergency declared by County Executive Serino. Though the ban is being lifted early, residents are strongly encouraged to limit non-essential travel so crews can continue clearing roads and improving road conditions.
If you must go out, please use extra caution while traveling.
Dutchess County Public Transit bus service remain suspended for the day, Monday January 26th.
The Town maintains a salt and sand mixture for resident use at the Highway Department, 25 Creamery Road. Residents may take up to two buckets at a time, as needed, to help manage icy conditions.
Dutchess County is under a Winter Storm Warning, with 12–24 inches of snow forecast between Sunday and Monday.
A State of Emergency has been declared by County Executive Sue Serino, including a countywide Travel Ban on all roadways in effect from 5:00 a.m. Sunday through 5:00 p.m. Monday. Residents are urged to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

Applications have reopened for Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) grant funding through March 31st under the Plus One ADU Program. This funding supports homeowners looking to create or improve ADUs and expand housing options in our community.
