Fire District 2027 Budget
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2027 Proposed Budget of the Stanford Fire District of the Town of Stanford, State of New York, will be presented by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Stanford Fire District, for its consideration.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00p.m. at the Stanford Fire House, 6096 Route 82, Stanfordville, New York 12581, in the Town of Stanford, State of New York on the 20th day of October 2026.
Pursuant to Town Law Section 181.3(a), the Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, and allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation at the hearing.
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, for or or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.
A copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk (845-868-1366 ext. 5) of the Town of Stanford at 26 Town Hall Road, Stanfordville, New York 12581 and at the home of the Fire District Secretary (845-868-7320) at 25 East Hunns Lake Road, Stanfordville, New York 12581 where it may be inspected by any interested person. Interested parties may call either location to set up a time to view the proposed budget.
